Advance Registration
To qualify for Advance Registration, online registration must be completed by 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Savings Time, Friday July 31, 2008. Registration forms and payment by mail must be received by Friday, July 31, 2008. Late Registration fees apply thereafter.

Registration Fees
To register at the Member rate, your LSS Membership status must be current on the starting date of the conference (August 27, 2008). You will be able to renew your membership or join LSS when you register for the conference on our online system. You may also join LSS directly on the LSS website at

The student rate is available only to students enrolled in accredited degree programs at the undergraduate or graduate level. We regret that postdocs and attendees at continuing education or extension programs, or correspondence schools are not eligible to receive student discount rates. If you claim the student rate, please specify the institution that you are attending on the registration form, and bring with you evidence of current enrollment (Spring, Summer, or Fall Term 2008). You will be asked to show your evidence at the registration desk.

All fees are in US dollars. You can use VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. You may also pay by company or personal checks or money orders which must be in US Dollars drawn on US banks. Registration paid by personal check is subject to delay of 1 to 2 weeks until the check clears the bank. Make checks payable to:

• Tutorials consist of one AM and one PM course. See Tutorials for course descriptions. Please select one in each session.

• Attendees will receive notes/supplemental material for the tutorials for which he/she is registered. The nature and form of materials will be determined by the tutorial instructor(s).

Invitation Letters
Visa letters should be requested at the same time as registration. Only confirmed and paid registrations will be sent invitation letters. As visas can take several weeks or longer to obtain, we encourage our international attendees to register as early as possible.

Registration Confirmation
Online registrations will be confirmed by email as soon as your credit card company approves the charges. Mail registrations will be confirmed within 48 hours of receiving your registration. If you do not receive confirmation, please email us at
